I am a military spouse and mother, which are in my opinion, some of the most fulfilling jobs you can have in this world. However, they can also be the most difficult at times. There are countless times, as a wife and mother, you might feel that your job is to take care of everyone else which might lead you to wonder, “Who is there to take care of me?” I am not ashamed to say that that question crosses my mind ALL the time. It is so different from when I was dating my now husband. I was the baby that was taken care all the time…..ahh that was nice! The memories of being wined and dined, foot rubs, massages, flowers and candies “just because” or just spending time with the other person and staring into each other eyes. Ahh the memories! But I digress, keeping a good balance between kids, the hubby, work and yourself is challenging like I said before, but it can be done. You might be wondering “how?”. Well I am hoping to answer that question with this site. I wanted to create a site that can offer mothers and wives like me hope. A site that can be a good tool for advice and conversations for the situations and thoughts that we as mothers, wives and daughters go through.

  1. Being a Military Spouse is not easy, especially when you have children and Dad cannot be around because he is gone so much, or is tired when he is around. What I found in my life as a Military spouse and Mother of 2 girls was to find something for me to do, such as volunteer work and joining a wife’s club that gives me some time with other wives to share stories and get advise. Knowing that you are not alone with all of your feelings makes a difference. As the kids got older I was more involved with volunteer work for the Military Community and helped bring some changes about for the good of everyone.
I wish you a long and happy marriage and enjoy the military life. Find something to do outside the home which you enjoy is the key to happiness being married to a spouse who is in the Military. When Uncle Sam calls, he has to follow.
Our children, now adults, are still proud today to have been Military Brats and Overseas Brats since we spent much time Overseas.
