For More Than Just Baking!

For More Than Just Baking!

Baking soda is one of those “must have” products that everyone normally has somewhere in the house.  It can be used from baking to brushing our teeth (really good polisher for teeth), but did you know that it makes for a good exfoilant?  Among the many things I use banking soda for, one of them is as an facial exfoliant.  As we go on the quest for the perfect body or great health, we sometimes put all the emphasis on exercise and forget about the beauty part.  Well at least I have been guilty of this.  The skin is the largest organ, and is just as important as taking care of our body and muscles.  The skin requires extreme maintenance.  Let’s face it, our skin and smile are our first impressions to the world.  So we must take good care of it.  I workout (and go hard!) at the germ infested gym, and I sweat profusely which leads to bad skin if not properly taken care of.

Baking soda exfoilant is really simple.  All you do is take some baking soda and mix it with water until it is of a paste consistency.  You can use it 3 to 4 times a week.  Your way to clear skin is not far, it is right in your own pantry.  After workouts try to cleanse your face if possible.  Try not to let more than 30 minutes pass before cleaning your face.  I always carry facial cleansing wipes in my gym bag.  I get cheap ones from Wal-Mart that have like 60 wipes in the package until I can get home to wash my face.

I hope this helped someone out there.  Till next time…clean that sweat off your face and keep it moving!
