Last night was our Night Out 2 Help Out. I partnered with Painting with a Twist here in beautiful Colorado Springs for an awesome Night Out. It was so much fun! Besides meeting some awesome people, we were able to acquire some great stuff that will be donated to the Care and Share Food Bank. Care and Share exists to ensure that the one in seven Southern Coloradoans at risk of hunger have access to enough healthy and nutritious food to thrive. Thank you to all that came out to the event and donated. It really warms my heart how we, as a community, can come together for a common goal. I met some awesome people and learned more about the individuals in my own community. My perspective on community is that of a family, so anytime we all can come together to help our brothers and sisters, we all benefit.
I want to thank Painting With A Twist for making this possible. What they do in this community is just so inspiring to me. If you don’t know about the history of Painting With A Twist, they actually originated from a tragedy in our nation’s history. In 2005, Hurricane Katrina changed our nation and the people of Louisiana. Friends and the founders of Painting With A Twist, Cathy Deano and Renee Maloney, wanted to focus on helping their community recover. With a focus on charity and community, they continually give back to the local community. Can you say awesome? I can!
I also I want to thank True Toniqs for donating some of my favorite healthy drinks for the event-goers to try. And as I suspected, they loved them! I enjoyed some myself 🙂 Also, thank you to Body Brite for sponsoring the event as well. You know how I feel about skincare! Taking care of our skin, especially here in Colorado, is ultra important. So thank you to them and I will definitely have to take advantage of their services. And lastly, thank you to Sephora for donating a makeover to giveaway. The lady that won was super excited about it!
So last night was wild! It was definitely a Night Out 2 Help Out. It is my hope to inspire and motivate women and children and to build a community of philanthropists from all ages and walks of life through exciting projects and events that support their peers and those in need within their own community. I can’t conclude this post without sharing my painting from last night….so here it is. Don’t laugh!
